The “Ecology of the past” blog is run by William Gosling (University of Amsterdam) and contains content from people associated with his scientific research. The research presented in the blog is centered on trying to place modern environments in to context. Consequently we spend a lot of time thinking about the modern environment and asking the question: “How did we get here?”

    I am a Ph.D student who comes from Institute of Subtropical Agriculture, Chinese Academic of Science, and my research also mainly in the ecology of the past but in Karst region, your team’s works are very interesting and meaningful, which inspire me a lot. And I hope I can join in you as a visiting student the year after next.
