Mapping Ancient Africa: Regional hubs
Due to the COVID restrictions early meetings for the Mapping Ancient Africa were held in four regional ‘hubs’ to comply with regional travel restrictions. These were:
- Eastern Africa coordinate by Rahab Kinyanjui (National Museum of Kenya)
- Southern Africa coordinated by Lynne Quick (Nelson Mandela University)
- Europe coordinated by Stefanie Kaboth-Bahr (University of Potsdam)
- Americas coordinated by Sarah Ivory (Penn State University).
Participants gathered at these regional hubs in person, and connected with the other hubs online.
An online seminar series was also developed to promote connection throughout the project. Recordings of these seminars can be found on the Mapping Ancient Africa YouTube playlist.
